Assistant Dean, Director of Residence LifeProfessional Staff, Full Time
A Master"s degree
in student development, educational administration, counseling, or related field and professional
experience in residence life and campus judicial affairs is required. In addition, the ideal
candidate will possess: seven or more years of related experience in student affairs with a minimum
of four years of progressive leadership experience; a broad knowledge of contemporary student
development issues, and best practices, particularly in residence life and judicial affairs;
excellent managerial, planning, supervisory, team-building, and communication skills; a genuine
interest and satisfaction in working with students, families, faculty, and staff; demonstrated
commitment to diversity and multiculturalism; and familiarity with and commitment to the mission and
philosophy of an open-admission residential institution..
The position reports to the vice
president for student services and serves as the coordinator of student judicial affairs for the
College, and as the director of residence life. Assists the vice president, dean of students with
the development, implementation, and oversight of the programs and services of the office of Student
Services, to include crisis management, problem resolution, student advocacy, critical issues
programming, and community relations.
